| Hey there guys.
Ive recently switched from using the pen tool to do my lineart to using the brush by hand, and I must say im loving it. It gives a much more natural feel to my artwork. But there are some things That bother me about it, and im not sure if its the lack of practise or the method itself.
So tell me, do you prefer the pentool? Or digital inking? Or neither???
Tell me >< | |

| Digital inking is so much more worthwhile because it's way easier to fix mistakes. ;n; Plus you are 100% free to experient without fear of ruining the piece itself (hooray, undo button! Also, ink is expensive. |D
This all depend on if by "pentool" you mean a real-life pen/ink tool. DD: I'm not sure o3o <33

| Well I was talking digitally, like using the photoshop paint brush. But I agree with what your saying... It is more natural. | |

Tell me >< Brush tool all the way!! X3 mainly because I can't use the pen tool to save my life ;A; Even though I'm having to at college because we are learning illustrator.... and I don't get it at all ._. the stuff that people can do with it is amazing though! D: but yeah... for me... I use brush tool ^^ .... ALSO BECAUSE YOU CAN ADD TEXTURES TO THE LINEART AS WELL AS THE FILL!! T

Tell me >< I did used to use the pen tool for all my art it is some what simple. But if you do not know how to do all the little tricks to make it looks more like it is hand drawn then it is hard. I learned a lot of trick for making mine look more like it is hand drawn. I still love the pen tool for some thing but now I use do all mine by hand. I can only do it by hand on a tablet pc not with a tablet. I have a hard time drawing if I'm not looking at my hand. With the tablet pc I have it is just like drawing on paper ^^ So really both for me just not the pen tool as much.

| I prefer using the brush tool, but if you use a tablet, try downloading pen-pressure for it, it adds a lot of neat effects to your art, if you watch me on dA, look at how I shaded Ice's hair in the picture "Fire and Ice" or on "Friends since 2005".
Try to mess around with the size of your brushes, and what brushes you use. I prefer the brush tool, because it doesn't make the lines all jaggedy..

| i used SAI for my lining. it's much smoother than photoshop, in my opinion. it comes out more smooth and flowy. when i did traditional art, it was really irritating when the ink ran. :c i tried doing traditional lining the other day, and when i messed up, i moved my hand to use the back button. xD | |

| All my work is done on SAI. c: All my more serious works, anyways. I don't have a scanner, so. :C It's very good for line art. A lot of people I know use it for line-art and then use PS for coloring and such. | |
